Riverside Builders is now a third generation piling business. Back in the mid 1960's between developing water front property and a gang of hurricanes the business was started.  We needed to get our homes up out of the Pamlico River flood plane as well.  Today we all live in elevated homes.  Most of the raised homes in this area have been put on piling driven by one of four family members.  Our first driver was a dragline and a 3000 lb. hammer.  We are now driving with our third track excavator equiped with a hydraulic tamper hammer.  The newer equipment gives us better driving control; therefore, the more accurate finished job, builders require.  With the many piling foundations we have constructed we are able to advise our customers on other areas of their building plan.
